Not writing for 2-3 weeks.Promising to write. And then failing. This blog looks to be heading down the drain. And I’ll be the only one reading that (D)rain-drenched blog,I guess. Finally I’m writing and the fact that I can read it means the next hour or so won’t be a complete waste.
On towards some serious matters. The start of the season hasn’t been much better than last one’s end.Players getting injured left, right and center.Arsenal not being decisive enough at either ends of the pitch. And the fans booing. That certainly doesn’t help the cause.
Losing your best player after such a long saga never helps and that is bound to show over the course of the season. Not saying that Ramsey isn’t ready to fill in but admit it,he’s no Fabregas. His work-rate and engine might be better but Cesc’s vision is only his.No one can match that.
It’s been 3 matches and we’ve scored one tiny little goal against Udinese. That’s it! We are yet to open our Premier League account.Going forward looks the major problem to me at this moment.Suspensions and injuries might be the reason.Gervinho’s looked seriously threatening EVERY time the ball has touched his gifted feet. And the end product will be visible in the upcoming days when he settles in with the team and its style. All in all,he’s looking our best attacking player.Better than RvP who hasn’t got the support from other players which he deserves.Walcott, you might wanna consider this!
The defence looks extremely solid with Koscielny and Vermaelan.Absolutely world-class.But as soon as Kozzer went off injured,it was there for everyone to see.No quality backups.Djourou is decent enough but I honestly don’t rate him.And regular readers will know of the extent of my love for Sebastian Squillaci.
Next up is the suspensions.1 I like,3 i don’t.All of Frimpong,Song and Gervinho suspended. The ones I don’t like.Arsene suspended,I prefer.Lately, all he does is throw some unlucky water bottles here and there and cry when Ramsey puts it in his own net.And bring on Bendtner when we need a striker.A real one at that.
I’m not the only one who knows new players are needed. Both quality and quantity-wise.But to sign someone like Mertesacker or Dann doesn’t help either case.First of all, seriously talented players such as the likes of Hazard,Cahill,Jagielka or even Zarate are quite difficult to sign considering Arsenal’s strict wage structure.Second, what are the guarantees that the player signed will adapt well and help us mount a serious title-challenge.
One thing I’d like to see is to give the young AOC and Miyaichi a chance.I mean it’s the start of the season. And you try all new combinations and players NOW.Arsene, any reasonable explanation why you already haven’t?
And with that I sign off. There’s this little poll I’d like you to vote on.Your opinions will be hugely welcomed. They’re coming after such a long time you know!

Finally a post from you that I fully agreed, and you fully agree with me, Before I start my usual long comments in your tiny poll I mentioned that we are too good still to drop out of the top 4 seing the way Tottenham played yesterday and also considering the fact that Liverpool only really scored one with our reserve defence with 9 men on the pitch.
The latest news in the Arsenal website is Nasri has left as well, they have agreed terms and the deal will continue depending on a medical and registration process.
Now lets break down the details. Arsene’s words were he only wants to add quality to the squad, when we had Cesc and Nasri both available. Now we have both gone officially. So no more speculation and bullshit they are gone. We bought in qulity, but out of the 4 players bought in the talent all 4 together is not good enough to replace one talent that we lost (Cesc). I believe Shubham pretty much agree with me on that.
Yes Gervinho is good, we only saw him to be good because he is in form at the moment, eventhough he is in form it’s clearly visible that he is not settled in yet. So it will take time, All Joel Campbell dubed as the Costa Rican Van Persie since he has scored identical goals to our RVP, Ryo Miyaichi dubed the next Ronaldo for the way he runs and the control, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain dubed the new rooney for his physical presence and finishing with speed, Jenkinson dubbed as noone but him self, Jon Toral Harper dubbed the new Cesc (he really is), and Hektor Bellarin dubbed the new David Villa are all bound to be the best of footballers in the future, but they will not have the experience enough and the speed and vision enough to get us for the 4th place.
So what we currently need is a replacement for the 2 lost talents, Cesc and Nasri. Nasri we have a good replacement found but whther he woud come or not is up to him, yes I’m on about Eden Hazard. Being the footballer of the year in League 1 pretty much sums up that story. Then for Cesc we have Ramsey, now I believe he is good enough and Jack. I believe what we need to do is till Ramsey get his creative mind back in top form we have to play him more central and use Wilshere in Cesc’s position as he has done well there in Asia.
However that’s not enough, Apparently Squilacci do not have a calf strain, he is not playing because we have put him in the transfer market meaning he will be shipped out. I believe Miquel Ignasi did very well and cant really blame him for the own goal it was unfortunate. we will be having Kyle Bartley who is also injury prone returning from loan next season. So we seriously eed a good Centre half no doubt. Reports today suggest that we have launch a undisclosed bid believed to be around the regeion of £15 million.
Also we have bid for Yann M’villa the hottest prospect in french football. Now this is confirmed by the club and has given permision to talk to the player, and the players responce apparently was I will join if we get qualified for the champions league. So he is a glory seeker, and I do not no and unsure whther we need a such player when we have Frimpong.
Now comes to the usual thick refrees int he premier league. The thickest refree is Martin Atkinson who reffed the game on Saturday. 1stly it was not a throw for Liverpool, people who watched in the television would obviously know that and secondly all frimpong did was to ask for the ball when Henderson showed his hand to Frimpong pushing him back. he is hot tempreded like any other good holding midfielders, ie: Paul Scholes. So he just goes close and he gets a yellow card and Henderson gets away with the ball in his hand. Brilliant refree Martin Atkinson isn’t he? Then again we can’t really blame him either, since the second challenge was actually a straight red to be honest which he gave a second yellow baning the player only 2 games when he could have been banned for 3 games. However I prefer the player over Song. Why? He can take long range shots, He can dribble pass players with ease and he can really pass the players and tackle without fear. Song does all that too apart from being able to take shots. However Frimpong did it better. I remember during the Man Utd game for the rserves 2 years ago he completely dominated the game even when there were some senior players in the Man UTD team. It was breath of fresh air for me to see.
Finally Song obviously deserves a ban and so did Gervinho. However Joey Barton did not deserve to just get away with a fine. Obviously the league is racist the link below shows how.
http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2011/08/21/revealed-the-table-that-shows-arsenal-and-blackpool-were-cheated-last-season-210801/
SO my conclusion is, It’s a disgrace seing idiotic fans booing the team when it’s only been 6 years. Man UTD fans and Chelsea and even Liverpool have gone in some years for a round of 7-8 seasons without a single trophy at times not even champions league qualifications, yet they never booed the team or the manager. Always stood by them and supported unlike the Arsenal fans we see in the stadium who only knws to clap when we score and not use their mouth.
Then I would like to say the team is still not in trouble unless we do not invest on the players that’s been linked as surely they are the right players to buy. If we do buy them before the 31st August 2011. We only are affected by 3 games and maybe a couple of games till the new players get settled in and then we can see how well Arsenal will end up doing.
So I still believe Arsenal can be on the top 4. It’s going to be tough and I believe Arsene has done it before and will do ti again, but winnig a major trophy is definetely not in the cards right now but may win the FA CUP or the Carling cup.
Also let me remind you Liverpool had a smilar run last season through out the 1st half of the season. but the fans did not boo them.
Always and forever ARSENAL FC……
